Polished Concrete 3.0
For over 25 years we’ve been learning and refining our services and systems. We’ve now got polished concrete to a point where it is a genius mix of science and hard work.

Early Innovations in Polished Concrete
At the core of our early refinements was equipment. We required machines designed to work efficiently and produce a smooth, flawless finish. As we progressed, our next focus was improving diamond tooling—developing diamond tooling that not only cut quickly but also removed scratches while effectively dissipating the heat generated by friction.
Now, we’ve entered the third phase of innovation with chemistry. The next level of enhancement involved creating concrete that was not only stronger but also denser. This key development addresses a long-standing challenge: eliminating micro-pitting—the tiny surface voids that distort light reflections.
After extensive research and testing, we cracked the code. By incorporating the right amount of the right hardener—more than we initially anticipated— we’re achieving remarkable results. Although this advanced solution comes at a slightly higher production cost, the durability and longevity it provides are well worth the investment.
I’m going to be straight with you. We now do more work and spend more on chemicals about (3-4 times more), so it’s going to cost a little more.
We know other people are going to be cheaper, but they are not following our process and not getting our results.
Remember we are making your concrete harder and denser – it will last longer.
It really is the little things that matter. A floor can only be as glossy as it’s material density allows. We’ve managed to make it a whole lot more refined.
While other contractors are leaving all the aeration holes and micro pitting – we’re doing the extra work to greatly reduce all that.

Polished concrete floors can be easy to keep clean, there is nowhere for dirt and bacteria to hide. A sweep, vacuum or micro fibre mop is normally all that is needed.
Polished concrete floors can be warm – if exposed to the sun or heat, the whole slab absords the warmth and acts as a heat sink. It keeps a more even temperature, not too hot or cold.
Polished concrete floors are hard – the dense smooth surface is harder to damage than most surfaces.
Polished concrete floors are attractive. You have many options, such as the average size of aggregate, the gloss and we can even change the colour of the matrix (ask about concrete dye).
Polished Concrete 3.0 is also more about improving the actual concrete. We load it up with densifier, which works by chemical reaction within the surface of the concrete.
This reaction with free lime (calcium hydroxide) forms a gel (calcium silicate hydrate) in the microscopic pores of the concrete.
The result is a polished concrete floor that is about 40% more abrasion resistant, greatly reduces moisture vapor transmission and stops the concrete dusting.
